Why Mayr?

Mayr Budny is an executive design leader focused in strategic and award-winning creative direction supporting teams through an agile design process to deliver vision and value for evidence-based, data-driven, digital products. She is a detailed systems thinker and thought leader with the curiosity of a scientist and the passion of an artist designing for sustainable customer engagement with insights from behavioral psychology in perception, persuasion, emotion and trust. Mayr works to merge business goals and customer needs to achieve holistic, intuitive purpose-driven experience design initiatives across brand ecosystems and social channels. She has extensive expertise in the practice of human-centered design and developing key strategic insight from research to inform an iterative design process to produce solutions across all touchpoints. She has a consistent and successful history in visioning, architecting, designing and executing product solutions from startup to enterprise environments.

In her current role, Mayr leads a team responsible for design at Kin, creating a top quality experience for their customers, acting as the voice for their customers backed by extensive design research, planning and delivery. She owns the Kin brand while also being the ultimate advocate for the customer, shaping the customer journey across all facets of business.

Mayr partners with leadership in marketing, product management and development to communicate and ideate goals to enhance the user’s experience and ensure those ideas are created and implemented, establishes KPIs for defining the relationship with customers, is responsible for nurturing career goals for each team member, maximizes team growth and collaboration, serves as a mentor to promote and foster additional skills of each team member, implements Kin's design vision and principles that can be applied across all aspects of the product, ideates innovative new products and features with internal stakeholders based on customer research, ensures a consistent, delightful experience across the entire customer journey from marketing to purchase to servicing, regardless of channel, directs the development, testing and evaluation of results for, prototypes and templates for proposed changes and updates, owns and maintains Kin UI patterns and design system across all touch points, and owns the Kin brand, from visual identity to the voice and personality of customer interactions.
