Caroline is an interaction designer at Nokia Software (NSW) based in Austin, TX. She will soon transition to become a product designer at the Nokia Software Product Design Venture Studio. As an interaction designer, she leads technical sales teams through the design thinking process and creates prototypes for forward-thinking product concepts in the telecom industry that support Nokia's product portfolio. Her first project with Nokia contributed to a multi-billion dollar sale with a communications service provider in Asia. Her projects have since supported streamlined app-based onboarding processes for mobile carriers, hyper-customization of consumer rate plans, digital marketplaces for enterprise customers, and the Digital Services Provider transformation story. As a product designer at the Venture Studio, she will be directly involved in the creation of new, trend-setting NSW products as well as laying the foundation for design culture at Nokia. Caroline also leads the NSW intern program in Austin, TX, providing support and mentorship to design interns, as well as to students at her alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a BFA in Design and BA in Japanese Language and Culture, was integral member in the execution of the Center for Integrated Design, and participated in the inaugural hybrid relationships between UT Austin and IBM and argodesign. She is passionate about working on interdisciplinary teams, design thinking education, questioning things often, and advocating for users above all else.
